Is George Russell Really Alcohol-Free? The Truth Revealed

Alright, let’s talk about this George Russell fella, the one who drives them fancy cars real fast. I heard folks sayin’ somethin’ ’bout him and no alcohol, so let’s see what the fuss is all about.

Now, I ain’t no expert on racin’ or nothin’, but seems like this George signed a paper, a “contract” they call it, with some folks named Williams. And in that paper, it said plain as day, “No drinkin’ when you’re racin’, young man!” No boozin’ on race weekends, that’s what it meant. He couldn’t have a beer or nothin’ while he was supposed to be drivin’ that car real speedy.

Is George Russell Really Alcohol-Free? The Truth Revealed

But you know how young folks are, always bendin’ the rules. I heard tell that some other drivers, they sneak a drink or two now and then. This George and another fella, Lando somethin’-or-other, were on a plane, a private one mind you, and they got to talkin’. Seems like some drivers do drink a little, even when they’re supposed to be racin’. Can you believe that? Risking their necks and drinkin’ too! Makes an old lady like me nervous just thinkin’ about it.

  • George can’t drink alcohol on race weekends.
  • Some other drivers might be drinking, though. Sneaky fellas!

Then there’s this story ’bout George and his drinkin’ system in the car. Apparently, it came loose or somethin’ during a race in Mexico City. Now, I ain’t talkin’ ’bout beer or whiskey in the car, mind you. It’s some kinda special drink they have to keep ’em goin’, like water or somethin’ with sugar in it. But still, it sounds like a mess if that thing comes loose while you’re drivin’ fast. Imagine spillin’ your drink all over yourself while you’re tryin’ to win a race!

Now, some folks say George is a bit… stiff. Like he ain’t got no real feelin’s. They say he acts like somebody told him how to act, like a puppet on a string. They say he don’t laugh real, like he’s just pretendin’. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that. I ain’t never met the boy. But I reckon racin’ them cars is serious business, so maybe he’s just concentratin’ hard.

Let’s talk a bit about George himself. He uses the number 63 when he races. Why 63? Well, it was his brother’s number when he started racin’ those little go-karts, and they just kept usin’ it. Family thing, you see. His daddy used to sell seeds and beans, made a livin’ that way. George is the youngest of three kids, got a sister and a brother. And they say he’s got a good bit of money, 16 million dollars or somethin’ like that! That’s a lot of money, more than this old lady ever seen in her life!

He was real good at racin’ them smaller cars, won a bunch of races. Then some folks at Mercedes, they make them real fancy cars, they started helpin’ him out. Gave him money and such so he could keep racin’. And he did good, won more races. Now he’s drivin’ for Mercedes, one of the best teams out there. He even got to be their backup driver for a while, before he got his own car to race.

So, that’s the story of George Russell and no alcohol. He ain’t supposed to drink when he’s racin’, but maybe some other folks do. He seems like a serious young man, focused on his job. And he’s got a good family and a lot of money. He’s doin’ alright for himself, that’s for sure. Hope he stays safe out there on that racetrack. It’s dangerous work, even without the drinkin’.
