Danica Patrick Crashes and Eminem Raps: A Strange 2018 Indy 500

Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Danica Patrick and that Eminem fella. Folks been talkin’, you know? Heard it on the radio, saw it on that there TV thingy.

Danica Patrick, the Race Car Lady

Now, Danica, she’s a tough cookie, I tell ya. Drove them race cars real fast, faster than anything I ever seen. Round and round she’d go, like a chicken with its head cut off, but in a good way, ya know? She was somethin’ else, that girl. Always in them newspapers and magazines. Folks said she was the best woman driver they ever seen, but some others, they just grumbled and complained. Said she wasn’t all that. Always gonna be folks like that, I guess. Can’t please everybody, no matter how hard you try.

• She drove them Indy cars.
• Then she went to them NASCAR races.
• Lots of folks watched her, that’s for sure.

But then, somethin’ happened. Heard she crashed her car one time, went backwards and all. Folks were sayin’ all sorts of things. “She ain’t no good no more,” they’d say. But I say, shoot, everyone makes mistakes. You just gotta pick yourself up and keep on goin’. That’s what my old man always said. “Life’s like a dirt road,” he’d say, “bumpy and full of holes, but you gotta keep on drivin’.”

That Eminem Rapper Fellow

Now, this Eminem fella, he’s a rapper. Sings them fast songs, talks a whole bunch. Kids these days, they love him. Me? I don’t understand half of what he’s sayin’, all that jibber-jabber. But he’s famous, that’s for sure. Got all them fancy cars and houses, I bet.

And wouldn’t ya know it, he sang somethin’ about Danica in one of his songs. Somethin’ about her crashin’ that car, I think. Folks were all up in arms about it. “He shouldn’t be singin’ about her like that,” they said. But then others, they just laughed. Said it was just a song, nothin’ to get worked up about.

The Song and the Baseball Game

They play that song at the baseball games now, whenever them Detroit Tigers hit a home run. Can ya believe it? A song about a car crash and a race car driver, played at a baseball game. Makes no sense to me, but then again, nothin’ much makes sense these days.

• Eminem sings a song called Venom.
• He mentions Danica in it.
• They play it at baseball games.

But I guess that’s just how it is. Folks like what they like, and they don’t like what they don’t like. And sometimes, they just like makin’ a fuss. Like my old hen, Henrietta, always cluckin’ and fussin’ about somethin’.

What I Think

Now, if you ask me, I think Danica’s a strong woman, and that Eminem fella, well, he’s just singin’ his songs. No need to get all riled up about it. Life’s too short for that, I tell ya. Better to spend your time doin’ somethin’ you enjoy, like gardenin’ or bakin’ a pie. That’s what I always say.

So, there you have it. A little somethin’ about Danica Patrick and that Eminem fellow. Nothin’ too fancy, just the way I see it. Hope it made some kinda sense to ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens.

And one more thing, those fancy folks in the city, they like to complicate things, but it’s all just folks doin’ what they do. She drove fast, he sang fast, and folks, well, they talk fast.
