Dont Miss Rumble in Fort Wayne 2023 This Weekend
Alright, let’s yak about this “Rumble in Fort Wayne 2023,” whatever that is. Sounds like a big to-do, you know, like when the whole town gathers for the county fair, but with more…rumbling, I guess.
What is this Rumble thing anyway?
Well, from what I gather, it’s some kind of racin’ thing. Cars, I reckon, goin’ real fast inside some building in Fort Wayne. Not out in the fields like they should be, mind you, but inside. Don’t make much sense to me, but these city folks, they do things different.
They been doin’ this “Rumble” for a long time now, since like, 1956 or somethin’. That’s way before your time, I bet. They had some old fort there, built way back when, and now they race cars around it? Crazy, I tell ya. But folks seem to like it. They got this Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales fella sponsorin’ it, so it must be a big deal.
- Indoor Racin’
- Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Been goin’ on since 1956
- Happened in December 2023
When did all this rumblin’ happen?
This here Rumble happened in December, right around Christmas time, 2023. Some of it happened on the 27th and 28th, and then they had some more racin’ on the 29th and 30th. Must’ve been cold outside, that’s probably why they went inside to race. Smart, I guess, but still strange.
Seems like they had a whole bunch of different races, all lined up. They call ’em “undercards” and stuff. Fancy words for racin’ if you ask me. They had a schedule and everything, but them schedules always change, you know? Just like the weather, can’t ever rely on ’em.
Where’d all this rumblin’ take place?
Fort Wayne, Indiana. That’s where they had it. In some kinda building, probably big, to fit all them cars and the folks watchin’. They mentioned somethin’ about an old fort, limestone and brick and such. Guess they built the racin’ thing around it or somethin’. These city folks, they always buildin’ on top of old things.
This fort, it’s real old, goes back to 1845 and 1848. They had soldiers livin’ there, barracks and officer’s quarters and all that. Now, instead of soldiers, they got race cars. Times sure do change, don’t they?

Why all this rumblin’ anyway?
Well, I reckon folks just like watchin’ things go fast and make a lot of noise. Like them tractors at the plowin’ contest, but smaller and quicker. And inside, for some reason. Probably warmer that way, and you don’t have to worry about the rain.
They got tickets and merchandise and all that, so folks is payin’ to watch this rumblin’. Must be excitin’, I guess, all them cars zoomin’ around. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own, I always say.
More about the rumblin’
So, this Rumble in Fort Wayne, it ain’t just one race. It’s a whole bunch of ’em. Different kinds of cars, I guess, all racin’ for somethin’. They got winners and losers, just like in life. And they got this fella, Jason Dietsch, sellin’ trailers, so he must be makin’ some money off this whole thing.
They had some winners on Saturday, that’s what I heard. The “undercard winners” they called ’em. Sound important, I guess. And they got this big limestone fort, been there forever, watchin’ over all the racin’. If them walls could talk, I bet they’d have some stories to tell.
They got a press release and everything, makin’ a big fuss about this Rumble. “FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE” it says. Like it’s some kinda big secret they gotta tell everybody. But I guess that’s how they do things in the city. Gotta make everything sound important.
Final words on the Rumble

So, there you have it. The Rumble in Fort Wayne 2023. A bunch of cars racin’ inside an old fort, makin’ a whole lotta noise. Folks seem to like it, spendin’ their hard-earned money on tickets and such. Me? I’d rather watch the corn grow, but that’s just me. To each their own, like I said.
Seems like this Rumble is a big deal, been goin’ on for a long time. And I bet they’ll be doin’ it again next year, and the year after that. Folks always lookin’ for somethin’ to do, somethin’ to watch, somethin’ to get excited about. And if it involves cars goin’ fast and makin’ noise, well, that seems to do the trick for a lot of folks.
So, that’s all I know about this Rumble in Fort Wayne. Not much, I admit, but enough to get the gist of it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. They make their own kind of rumblin’, peckin’ and cluckin’, and that’s the kind of rumblin’ I understand.
