This here story about that Pam Oliver, you know, the one always on the TV during them football games. Well, folks been saying all sorts of things, like she was drunk during one of them games. Now, I ain’t one to gossip, but I seen it with my own two eyes, and it did make a body wonder.

It was that game, you know, the one on Christmas Day. That Pam, she was talking all funny. Like her words were stuck together or something. Folks online, they were going on and on about it. Said she looked a mess. Said she must have had too much of that Christmas cheer, if you catch my drift.

Now, I ain’t saying she was, and I ain’t saying she wasn’t. But it sure did look like she was having a rough time. Slurring her words and whatnot. It’s a shame, really. She’s been doing that football reporting for a long time, that Pam Oliver. Since way back in, what was it, ’95? Yep, 1995. That’s a long time to be yelling about football on the TV.

They say she makes a lot of money too, that Pam Oliver. Millions, I hear. Two million, maybe more. Imagine that! Two million dollars just for talking about football. Well, I guess it ain’t that easy, standing out there in the cold and all. And having to deal with all them rowdy football players. Still, two million! That’s a lot of chicken feed.

Some folks are saying she wasn’t drunk though, maybe it’s just not feeling well or some sickness that day. Saying she was just feeling poorly. Sick, maybe. Like that time I had that bad stomach bug and couldn’t hardly talk straight. Poor thing, if that’s the case. It’s hard to do your job when you’re feeling under the weather. Especially when you’re on the TV for all the world to see. And that Christmas Day game, everyone was watching.

I reckon we all have our bad days. Even them fancy TV folks like Pam Oliver. Maybe she was drunk, maybe she wasn’t. Maybe she was just sick. Or maybe she was just tired.
