Jordan Love or Baker Mayfield: Whos the Better Quarterback Choice?
Alright, listen up, y’all. We gotta figure out this whole Jordan Love and Baker Mayfield thing, you know, for that football game, the one where you pick players and hope they do good. Fantasy football, they call it. Sounds fancy, but it ain’t nothin’ more than guessin’ and hopin’, if you ask me.
Now, they talkin’ ’bout these two quarterbacks, Jordan Love and Baker somethin’-or-other. Love, they say he’s a keeper. Means you don’t go droppin’ him from your team. If he’s playin’, you start him. That’s what the smart folks are sayin’. Sounds good to me, I guess. They say he didn’t get hurt bad or nothin’, so that’s a plus.

Then there’s this Baker fella. Mayfield, that’s it. Some folks are all hot on him, sayin’ he’s the better pick. Especially for that Week 12 game, they were yellin’ about. Said he was the “best pick.” Now, I don’t know about all that “best pick” stuff, but if they say so, maybe there’s somethin’ to it.
But here’s the thing, it’s all a gamble, ain’t it? One week, a fella’s throwin’ the ball like a champ, the next week, he’s throwin’ it to the other team. It’s like plantin’ corn, you never really know how it’s gonna turn out ’til harvest time. You just gotta do your best and hope for the best.
- So, what do we do? Well, we gotta look at who they’re playin’ against. Some teams are tougher than others, you know. Like tryin’ to pull a stubborn mule, some defenses just ain’t gonna budge.
- And we gotta see if they’re healthy. A quarterback with a bum arm ain’t gonna do you much good, just like a tractor with a flat tire.
- Then, there’s this “projection” thing. Sounds like somethin’ outta a science fiction movie, but it’s just folks guessin’ how many points a player’s gonna score. Take it with a grain of salt, I say. Nobody really knows for sure.
Now, these websites, they got these fancy tools, tellin’ you who to start. “Start/Sit Optimizer,” they call it. Sounds complicated, but it’s just tryin’ to help you make up your mind. They compare the players, look at their stats, all that jazz. But at the end of the day, it’s still your decision.
They sayin’ that for Week 14, Jordan Love is the man. You gotta start him. But then again, they was sayin’ Mayfield was the best for Week 12. See what I mean? It’s all a bunch of flip-floppin’. Makes my head spin, it does.
So, here’s what I think, and it ain’t worth much, but it’s free. If Love is healthy, and they say he is, then maybe he’s the safer bet. He’s the one they sayin’ you gotta keep, the one you gotta start. But if you’re feelin’ lucky, maybe you go with Mayfield. He might have a good game, he might not. It’s like choosin’ between plantin’ beans or tomatoes, you never really know which one’s gonna give you the bigger crop.
And don’t forget, this fantasy football thing, it ain’t the end of the world. It’s just a game, somethin’ to pass the time. Don’t go losin’ sleep over it, alright? There’s more important things in life, like family, friends, and a good plate of fried chicken.
In short, Jordan Love seems like the steady choice, the one you can count on. But Baker Mayfield, he’s the wild card, the one who might surprise you. It’s up to you to decide which one you wanna roll the dice with. Just remember, it’s all just for fun. Don’t get too worked up about it.
And one last thing, them experts, they don’t know everything. They’re just guessin’ too, just like the rest of us. So trust your gut, do your research, and hope for the best. That’s all you can do, really.
