Kyle Rittenhouse Packers support (how did the team react to the verdict and what does it mean for the NFL)

That Kyle Rittenhouse, yeah, that boy, he’s been in the news a lot, ain’t he? Heard folks talkin’ ’bout him down at the market. Somethin’ about shootin’ and a trial. And somethin’ about them Packers, is it? That football team. Lordy, it’s all a big mess, I tell ya. Ain’t nothin’ simple no more.

This whole thing, it’s got folks all riled up. Some say he’s a good boy, just protectin’ himself. Others say he shouldn’t have been there in the first place. He was carryin’ a big gun, that much I know. Too young to be totin’ somethin’ like that, if you ask me. That’s just askin’ for trouble.

They say he shot some folks. Killed two, hurt another one. In a place called Kenosha. Sounds like a right mess. Protests and all that. People yellin’ and screamin’. What good does that do anybody, I wonder? Just makes a whole lot of noise and scares the chickens.

That Kyle Rittenhouse trial, it was all over the TV. Every channel talkin’ ’bout it. That lawyer, he sure talked a lot. Said the boy was just scared. Said he was defendin’ himself. They call it self-defense, I reckon. Big words for somethin’ so simple. You point a gun at someone, somethin’ bad’s gonna happen.

• That’s a lot of shootin’.
• Poor fella was just carryin’ a bag.

They had a whole bunch of folks in that courtroom. Jury, they call ’em. Lots of women, and some men, too. Took ’em a long time to decide what to do. Four days, talkin’ and talkin’. Finally, they said he wasn’t guilty. Acquitted, that’s the word. Means he’s free to go.

But it ain’t over, no sir. They got these lawsuits now. More talkin’ and more arguin’. Just drags it all out. Makes me tired just thinkin’ ’bout it. What is Kyle Rittenhouse civil lawsuits? I don’t know, just more trouble for that boy.

Now, what’s this about the Packers? That football team, right? I heard some folks sayin’ they was talkin’ ’bout this Kyle Rittenhouse. Maybe they was for him, maybe they was against him. Hard to say. Sports folks, they always got somethin’ to say. Like that Kaepernick fella and that Wallace fella and Morant. They all got opinions on that Rittenhouse Kenosha thing.

I don’t know much about football. Just a bunch of big fellas runnin’ around, knockin’ each other down. But I reckon they got a right to their opinions, just like everybody else. Even if it don’t make much sense to me.

This whole Kyle Rittenhouse thing, it’s a shame, that’s what it is. A young boy mixed up in somethin’ so ugly. Lives lost, folks hurt. And for what? I don’t rightly know. Just seems like a whole lot of sadness.

Maybe if folks would just sit down and talk things out, instead of yellin’ and carryin’ on, things would be better. But I reckon that’s just wishful thinkin’. World’s a messy place these days. Ain’t like it used to be. What is Rittenhouse charged? I don’t know, it’s all too complicated.

I just hope that boy can find some peace. Hope he can put all this behind him and move on. It ain’t gonna be easy, but maybe, just maybe, he can find a little bit of happiness somewhere. He’s still young. Got his whole life ahead of him. Let’s hope he makes somethin’ good out of it.

What is Rittenhouse verdict? I already told you. The jury said not guilty. But that don’t make it right, does it? Two men dead. Another one hurt. This whole thing makes my head spin. That Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha, it just all wrong.

They said it was self-defense. Maybe it was. But it still don’t feel right. That boy, he shouldn’t have been there. He shouldn’t have had that gun. This is why you don’t go lookin’ for trouble. Trouble will always find you.

Now, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout the Green Bay Packers again. Sayin’ they might do somethin’ for that Kyle Rittenhouse. I don’t know what they could do. Maybe give him some money? Maybe let him meet the players? It’s all just talk, I reckon.

But that Kyle Rittenhouse, he will never forget that night. He will never forget what he did. That’s a heavy burden to carry. Especially for someone so young. I hope he can live with it. I hope he can find some kind of peace. It is all so sad. And about that Packers Kyle Rittenhouse thing, I don’t know what to think. I guess we will see.
