That Nikola Jokic, he’s a good boy, plays good basketball. He got some new shoes, I hear. They call ’em Jokic Jordans, sounds fancy. My grandson, he’s always going on about these basketball shoes, says they help him jump higher. I told him, “Boy, you need to eat more greens if you want to grow big and strong.”

But these Nikola Jokic shoes, they must be somethin’ special. Heard he signed a deal, a big one, for these shoes. They ain’t Nike though. Seems like this fella, Jokic, he’s got his own brand now. A brand called 361, like a number or somethin’. Some folks say Jokic’s shoes are better, got some special stuff in ’em.

They call them 361 Joker 1. Like some kind of movie, I reckon. And there is this Big Future shoes. Sounds like a big deal, I guess. He wore ’em to some big meetin’ with the other players, all dressed up. Black and white, like an old TV.

My old man, bless his soul, he used to wear them converse shoes. Them black canvas ones. Said they were the best. Wore them everywhere, even to church sometimes, if it was rainin’. But if you want my two cents, it’s not about the shoes. It is about how you play. If you good, you good. If you not, you not. Still, these young folks, they love their fancy shoes. Especially for basketball players. And that Nikola Jokic, he must be somethin’ to have his own shoes, I tell ya. They will make his feet good, and he will make more points. That is what those young folks say.
