Patrick Willis 40 Yard Dash Time Revealed: Unbelievable Speed for a Linebacker!
That Patrick Willis, boy, he sure was somethin’. Fast as a greased piglet, that one. Folks talkin’ ’bout his 40-yard dash time, always have. Fastest thing this side of the Mississippi, I reckon.
When he was at that there NFL Combine, back in 2007, they said he did it in 4.56 seconds. Yep, 4.56. Still pretty darn fast, I tell ya. That’s what them fancy stopwatches said, anyway. But you know what? Some folks was sayin’ that was a bit slow for him. They said he could do better. And you know what else? Some folks said it was 4.51 seconds. I don’t know who to believe. All I know is that’s faster than a chicken with its head cut off.

Then, now this is the real kicker, he went and did it even faster. Back at his college, Ole Miss, you know? They called it his “pro day.” Must be somethin’ fancy them college folks do. They said he ran that 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds. 4.38! Can you believe that? Faster than a scalded dog, that’s for sure. Like a bullet, that boy was.

Now, I heard some folks sayin’ he did it in 4.37 seconds, too. Some say it was at Ole Miss, some say it was when he was younger at that Auburn place. I don’t know about all that. All I know is that’s faster than I can run to the outhouse when I’ve had too much coffee.
He was a big fella, too. Not like one of them scrawny runners. They said he was built like a, like a… running back, whatever that is. He was a linebacker, though. One of them football fellas. Best one there ever was, some say. Patrick Willis, that’s his name. Don’t you forget it.
And for a linebacker, runnin’ that fast, well, that was somethin’ else. He could chase down anybody, they said. Even chased down that Darren McFadden fella, whoever he is. Must be fast, too, if Patrick Willis was chasin’ him. He probably ran that 40-yard dash fast, too.
Some folks say running fast at that NFL Combine don’t mean you’re gonna be good at football. I don’t know ’bout all that. I just know that Patrick Willis was fast, and he was good at football. Real good. Best there ever was, some say.
