Portland Trail Blazers Shooting Guard Brandon: Everything You Need to Know (Beginners Guide)

This Portland Trail Blazers, they got some fellas shootin’ them hoops, I tell ya. One of them, what’s his name now… Brandon. Yeah, that’s it, Brandon somethin’. They say he used to be real good, but got hurt a lot, poor fella.

Now, this team, they been around since, oh, I reckon 1970 or somethin’. They call ’em the Trail Blazers. Sounds like some fellas walkin’ in the woods, don’t it? They got that name from some old story ’bout Lewis and Clark, folks who walked all the way to near where Portland is now. Imagine that!

They play that basketball game, you know. Jumpin’ around, throwin’ that ball in the hoop. Lots of tall fellas. This Brandon, I think he played that shootin’ guard. That’s what they call it, shootin’ guard. Sounds kinda rough, don’t it?

They got another one now, a young fella. Name of… Anfernee somethin’. Folks say he’s pretty good too, fillin’ in for that Lillard fella. Heard he’s one of the top 30 shootin’ guards! Can you believe it?

And this other one, Shaedon, they say he’s a good one too. Young and got a lot of promise, whatever that means. Just means he’s good at throwin’ that ball, I reckon. The most promising young talent of the Portland Trail Blazers, that’s what they say.

They even got some players in the Hall of Fame, whatever that is. Must be a mighty big room. Let’s see, there’s a Wilkens, a Walton, that Drexler fella, a Petrovic, and one named Sabonis. Six of ’em, all played for the Blazers. Must be somethin’ special, huh?

I heard about one named Williams, only got two points in a game. Well, everyone has their bad days, I suppose. And then there’s this young Scoot, he’s a point guard. He’s got a lot to prove. He’s only 20, that’s younger than my grandson! He’s tryin’ to show folks he’s good, I guess.

This Brandon, though, the one I mentioned before, Brandon Roy. That’s his full name, Brandon Roy. They say he coulda been the best, but he kept gettin’ hurt. Injuries, they call ’em. Ruined his career, they say. What a shame, huh? Biggest “what if” story in the whole NBA history. Sounds like a sad movie.

This whole basketball thing, it’s a big deal, I reckon. Folks get all excited about it. They got fans, you know, people who cheer for the Portland Trail Blazers. Lots of ’em, I hear. To the joy of those fans, I guess, these fellas play their hearts out.

They say this Anfernee Simons, he’s the main one now, the startin’ shootin’ guard. He’s takin’ advantage of that Lillard fella not bein’ there, whatever that means. Just means he’s playin’ a lot, I reckon. And playin’ well, too, from what I hear.

So, this Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard situation, it’s a whole thing. They got this Brandon Roy who was good but got hurt, this Anfernee Simons who’s good now, this Shaedon who’s supposed to be good, and a whole bunch of others comin’ up. It’s a lot to keep track of, I tell ya.

But that’s the way it is with these sports, I guess. Always changin’, new fellas comin’ in, old fellas leavin’. Just like life, I suppose. One day you’re up, next day you’re down. You just gotta keep on goin’, keep on shootin’ that ball, I reckon.

This Brandon fella, though, he sure had a rough go of it. Makes you think, don’t it? All that talent, and it just goes away like that. Just goes to show, you never know what life’s gonna throw at ya. Gotta appreciate what you got while you got it, I always say.
