Vintage Penske Racing Team: Remembering the Champions and Cars

Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… vintage Penske racing, yeah, that’s it. Don’t know much about fancy racin’, but I seen some cars go fast, real fast, like a chicken chasin’ a bug on a hot summer day.

So, this Penske fella, he had a team, I reckon. A bunch of fellas drivin’ cars, goin’ round and round. They say he started way back when, like, in the seventies? That’s a long time ago, even before my old mule, Bess, was born. They called it…Formula One, somethin’ like that. Sounds important, must be a big deal.

• And they won! Lots of times, from what I hear. Folks like winners, reminds me of the time I won the pie-eatin’ contest at the county fair.

Penske, he didn’t just do that Formula One thing, though. He did all sorts of racin’, seems like. Indycar, NASCAR, all them big names. I tell you, it’s hard to keep track. It’s like tryin’ to count all the stars in the sky.

Forty years, that’s how long they was winnin’, or so they say. That’s a long time to be doin’ anything, let alone racin’ cars. Must’ve taken a lot of grit, a lot of hard work. Just like farmin’, you gotta keep at it, rain or shine. And Penske, he sure kept at it. A real go-getter, that fella.
